He was also a Research Fellow and a Lecturer at the University of Guyana. Prem Misir received his Ph.D. from the University of Hull, England, the M.Phil (Master of Philosophy) from the University of Surrey, England, the B.S.Sc. (Honors) from Queen's University of Belfast, U.K.
